Tasting notes
The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon (there’s 4% Malbec in the blend) is a step up and offers straight up classic notes of spiced red and black fruits, tobacco, dried herbs, and lead pencil shavings. It's full-bodied, beautifully textured, has ripe, present tannins, and a great finish. While it starts out slightly subdued on the attack, it builds nicely with time in the glass and is a beautiful, elegant, oh, so classic wine. Drink it any time over the coming two decades.

Another big wine, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon is dark, powerful and enveloping. Crème de cassis, blueberry pie, chocolate and sweet spice all run through this unctuous, flamboyant Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. I would give the 2016 a few years in bottle to shed some if its considerable baby fat. This is an especially concentrated, opulent style.
Containing a 4% splash of Malbec, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon is very deep garnet-purple colored and displays warm black plums, black cherries and black berries with wafts of redcurrants, cedar chest, dried Provence herbs, lavender and spice box. Full, firm and velvety textured, the palate yields mouth-filling black fruits and spicy layers with a very long, perfumed finish.
