My favorite of the trio was the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Pretty Woman, which includes 5% Cabernet Franc and 4% Petit Verdot that spent 20 months in 90% new oak. This full-bodied effort offers a sexy, ripe, layered style that still has considerable purity and elegance. Revealing notes of both red and black fruits intermixed with plenty of crème caramel, dried flowers, and spice, it’s a brilliant, multi-dimensional 2016 that will drink well for two decades.
