Tasting notes
The 2018 Grenache Besson Vineyard comes from the Santa Clara Valley and saw plenty of stems as well as neutral barrels. Lots of spice, candied strawberry, violets, and orange rind notes dominate the nose of this medium-bodied red, followed by bright yet integrated acidity, good structure, and a clean, juicy, dry finish that keeps you coming back to the glass. It's going to keep for 7-8 years as well. Angela Osborne continues to make an ethereal, lightly textured, elegant style of wine based on old vine Grenache. These are a Pinot Noir lover’s style of Grenache.

The 2018 Grenache Besson Vineyard is a wine of freshness and translucence, both of which give it a level of depth that is deceptively at first. Clean minerally notes pulse through the 2018, lending shape and energy. The Besson is understated and not at all obvious, but there is plenty there.
