Tasting notes
The 2015 Grenache Santa Barbara Highlands Vineyard is another of the more delicate wines in this range, featuring rosewater, anise, dried flowers and pine. Silky, perfumed and also very light, even by Angela Osborne's standards, the 2015 comes across as a bit lacking in depth.

Giving a very pale, almost rose ruby-purple color, the 2015 Grenache Santa Barbara Highlands Vineyard has a faint nose of red currants and spice box with pepper and dried herbs notions, plus a touch of underbrush. The medium-bodied palate delivers a lovely rounded texture and harmonious freshness to support the subtle red fruit and spice layers, finishing peppery.
Also very light in color, the 2015 Grenache Santa Barbara Highlands Vineyard (100% Grenache) offers more balance and depth, with notes of dried cherries, baking spiced and herbs. It's pretty, silky and seamless on the palate, and is certainly a unique style of Grenache. Focusing exclusively on Grenache, winemaker Angela Osborne continues to pull from some of the oldest vines and vineyards in California. She makes a silky, elegant style of Grenache that’s often reminiscent of a Pinot Noir.
