Tasting notes
Another Pinot Noir-like Grenache, the 2018 Grenache Santa Barbara Highlands Vineyard is all Grenache that saw 50% stems and aging in 19% new French oak. Tart cherry, cranberry, spice, and leafy herb notes all emerge from the glass, and it's medium to light-bodied, with bright, integrated acidity, good balance, and solid length. It's certainly not for those craving richness and depth, but it's a pretty, elegant, juicy wine. Angela Osborne continues to make an ethereal, lightly textured, elegant style of wine based on old vine Grenache. These are a Pinot Noir lover’s style of Grenache.

The 2018 Grenache Santa Barbara Highlands Vineyard is laced with the essence of dried cherry, tobacco, cedar, mint and dried leaves. This is an especially aromatic Grenache with plenty of floral and spice notes pushed forward and fruit that lies very much in the background. This is a savory style, but the stems are so well balanced.
