2018 Crescere Sauvignon Blanc Ritchie Vineyard

From one of the top sites in the Russian River Valley and brought up in 40% new French oak, the 2018 Sauvignon Blanc Ritchie Vineyard offers an Haut-Brion Blanc-like bouquet of caramelized pineapple, honeyed flowers, lemon butter, and quince, with a touch of rocky minerality thrown in for good measure. Beautifully rich, full-bodied, and concentrated, it has a beautiful spine of acidity and a monster of a finish. It ranks with the finest Sauvignon Blancs coming out of California today! I'd lean toward drinking bottles over the coming 3-5 years, but I certainly wouldn't be surprised to see it evolve for over a decade.
