Score 86/100 · Drink 2000, Robert Parker, Oct 1996
An impressively saturated ruby/purple color suggests a wine of high extraction and richness. The nose is restrained, but with coaxing, offers up scents of wood, earth, and blackcurrants. Although extremely tannic, nearly severe, this medium to full-bodied wine possesses very good concentration. If enough tannin melts away without the fruit fading, this wine could merit a score in the upper-eighties. If not, this review will look overly generous. In any event, this wine needs 3-4 years of cellaring. No telephone listing available.
