Score 88/100 · Drink 2016-2024, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Mar 2015
The 2012 Antiquum Vineyard was picked October 8 and includes 25% whole-cluster fruit, matured in 50% new French oak for ten months. Deep in color, the bouquet is introverted at first and then unfolds to offer black cherries, boysenberry and fresh fig notes that are nicely defined. The palate is medium-bodied with lithe tannin. The acidity here is nicely judged and the purity is commendable, although it needs just a little more tension on the finish. I would give this 12 months, possibly 24 months just to enter its stride.
