Tasting notes
Slightly more tannic and seemingly less concentrated, is the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Riva Di Levante. This has a similar color to the Rive Di Cimarossa, exhibits graphite and black fruits in the aromatics and has outstanding purity and depth of fruit on the attack and midpalate. However, it then closes down and comes across slightly leaner and lighter than its predecessor. This should drink well for 15 or more years.

The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Riva di Levante is wonderfully deep, fleshy and savory, with terrific resonance as well as complexity. Smoke, graphite, grilled herbs, lavender and inky blue stone fruits open up in a complete, harmonious wine endowed with real personality. This is a superb effort from proprietor Dino Dina and winemaker Mia Klein.
