Tasting notes
The ripest of the lineup, the 2006 Bonaccorsi Syrah Star Lane Vineyard, 96% Syrah and 4% Viognier, yields warmer climate aromas of spiced plum and fresh blackberry fruits that are carried along by subtle coffee, herb, and earthy nuances on the nose. Medium bodied on the palate, with sweet fruit and a solid mid-palate, this finished with good focus and length. Drink over the next 6 to 8 years.

Saturated ruby. Intriguing aromas of red berries, smoked meat, olive and graphite, in the style of a suave northern Rhone wine. Peppery and incisive, offering vivid red and dark berry flavors and a silky texture. The olive and graphite notes hang on with real intensity on the finish.
The 2006 Syrah Star Lane Vineyard’s whopping 15.9% alcohol is well-concealed behind abundant notes of frying lard, black currants, licorice, bouquet garni, spice box, and meat. Deep, rich, and still tightly-knit, it should hit its stride in 1-2 years, and evolve for a decade or more. Tel. (310) 994-3207
Ruby-red. Sexy floral-accented cherry and black raspberry aromas are energized by baking spices and zesty minerals. Finely etched red berry and cherry flavors stain the palate and pick up deeper dark chocolate and smoky, dried floral qualities with air. Extremely elegant-in fact almost pinot-like-with impressive finishing clarity, sweetness and persistence.
