(this represents the heavy press wine from the same verdelho grapes that went into the Naucratis; made in an oxidative style, with no topping of the barrels; partial malolactic fermentation) Pale yellow-gold. Fascinating leesy aromas of tangerine, orange, white peach and flowers. Rich but juicy, with an almost glyceral texture but surprising energy to its flavor of apricot, especially considering its pH of 3.85. This downright idiosyncratic wine offers an uncanny combination of freshness and weight, and finishes with excellent length.
