Bright red. Riper and more powerful than the Reserve bottling, offering cherry and dark berry aromas and flavors and a touch of smoky herbs. A deep, chewy style of pinot but there's sneaky energy here too. Finishes with solid grip and lingering floral and herb notes.

The single-vineyard 2008 Pinot Noir Rancho Santa Rosa possesses slate-like notes that give it a distinct minerality. Notes of raspberries, black cherries, fruitcake, and tobacco leaf are all present in this attractive, medium-bodied wine, which is slightly more austere than the less expensive Santa Maria. Tel.
