(43% cabernet sauvignon, 30% merlot, 25% cabernet franc and 2% petit verdot) Good ruby-red. Claret-like aromas of plum, graphite and mocha, lifted by a lavender topnote. Not thick but suave and nicely concentrated, with a sappy intensity and a strong impression of inner-palate energy. Less exotic than usual for this bottling, with flavors of sappy red berries and truffle. I find this a bit longer and more nuanced than the Two Blondes.

The 2004 Sheridan Vineyard is composed of 43% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Petit Verdot. It was aged for 21 months in 35% new French oak. Dark ruby-colored, the aromatics are muted. With coaxing, pain grille, spice box, cassis, clove, and red currants emerge. On the palate it exhibits sweet fruit, spicy flavors, and ripe tannin but lacks breadth. While it might fill out with further bottle age, I would opt for drinking it now and over the next 10 years. Chris Camarda’s Andrew Will Cellars began in 1989 and currently produces 4300 cases of predominantly Bordeaux-style blends. They reflect Carmada’s interpretation of each vineyard’s terroir. Tel.
