Deep red. A powerfully scented bouquet evokes raspberry and blackberry preserves, cola, vanillin oak and potpourri. Sweet, impressively deep red and dark berry flavors pick up energetic notes of minerals and candied flowers with air. The finish repeats the spice and floral notes and lingers with excellent clarity and sweet persistence.

The 2006 Pinot Noir Baldwin Family Reserve was aged in 100% new French oak. Dark ruby-colored, its nose is a bit more reticent but with coaxing reveals earth notes, mineral, pain grille, and an amalgam of dark fruits. On the palate it has outstanding concentration, layered fruit, savory flavors, impeccable balance, and 2-3 years of aging potential. It should be performing at its best from 2010 to 2018. Tel.
