Good full, deep red. Slightly reduced aromas of raspberry, cranberry, tobacco, licorice and coffee. Juicy and minerally in the mouth, with a firm edge to the red fruit and spice flavors. Finishes with slightly dusty but suave tannins and good spine.

Deep, bright red. Explosive aromas of plum, licorice, earth, mocha and nutty oak. Sweet on entry, then juicy, tight and a bit dry, with notes of smoked meat and animal fur. Perhaps best today on the back end, which, though uncompromisingly dry, shows very good energy and sneaky building flavor to go with its substantial, broad, tongue-dusting tannins.
