Deep red. Fresh and spicy aromas of cherry and blackberry lacked with mace and clove. Dense and weighty, the spicy chocolate, espresso, vanilla and dark cherry flavors framed by solid but pliant tannins. Smoky, lush and long on the back, the fruit tones taking on a distinctly tarry nuance. This wears its wood more gracefully than its stablemates.
