Score 89-92/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Dec 2016

(just 20 hectoliters per hectare produced): Bright, dark red. Terrific lift to the aromas of black cherry, dark raspberry, spices, wild herbs, licorice and violet. Densely packed but considerably tighter and more closed than the Santenay La Combe. Finishes with firm, serious tannins and noteworthy precision and length. This concentrated, crunchy wine will need time in bottle to blossom.
