Glimmering red. Expressive, smoke- and spice-accented cherry and raspberry scents, plus hints of musky earth, incense and candied flowers. Weighty yet energetic in style, offering cherry cola and red fruit liqueur flavors that show sharp delineation and back-end power. A core of juicy acidity helps maintain focus and drives an extremely long, floral finish framed by supple, harmonious tannins. This wine is by no means a bruiser -- in fact, it's quite graceful for its heft. I'm sure it could handle full-flavored, strongly seasoned grilled or braised red meat dishes with aplomb.
