Score 90/100 · Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Oct 2023

Bottled in March 2023, the 2021 Les Iles Feray l'Ardeche checks in at 12.5% alcohol. Elegant and refreshing, the acidic backbone is much more present here compared to the more supple 2022 rendition. Red-fruited and floral, the 2021 Les Iles Feray l'Ardeche closes with a sapid finale and should drink well right out of the gate. (NG)

Vibrant blackberry aromas are supported by restrained tannins on the medium-bodied palate. Very pure and straight with lively acidity and a long velvety finish. From young syrah vines in St.-Joseph. From organically grown grapes. Drink or hold.

Smoky and peaty nose with savoury spice. Attractive dark fruits with tight, fine tannins. The smoked note is evident throughout the palate and a hit of red fruits joins in towards the end. Attractive, if not hugely complex. (AC)
