Tasting notes
There's a splash of Petit Verdot and Merlot in the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon RHF, which is all from the Rutherford appellation in Napa and offers a deep purple color as well as rocking notes of blackcurrants, smoke tobacco, chocolate, lead pencil shavings, and cedarwood. With medium to full body, nicely integrated acidity as well as fine tannins, this beautifully balanced, elegant wine has enough tannins to warrant 3-4 years of bottle age and will keep for 20 years or more.

The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon RHF is soft, supple and easygoing - all qualities that make it an excellent choice for drinking now and over the next few years. Sweet red cherry, cedar, tobacco, crushed flowers and licorice give the 2017 lovely aromatic presence to match its mid-weight, understated personality.
Blended with 2% Petit Verdot and 1% Merlot, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon RHF is deep garnet-purple in color with notes of baked berries, plum preserves, espresso, olives and cedar chest with a crème de cassis core. Full, firm and grainy, the palate offers bright freshness, finishing long and layered.
