From a site next to Sloan, on the eastern side of Rutherford, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Sacrashe boasts a deep purple hue as well as stunning notes of gravelly earth, chocolate, graphite, and spiced red and black fruits. Deep, rich, and full-bodied, it stays relatively tight and compact on the palate, with laser-like precision. The tannin quality is top-notch and it’s another beautiful wine in this lineup. As with the Artalade, it was barrel fermented and brought up in 80% new oak.

Very deep purple-black colored, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Sacrashe sings of black cherry compote, wild blueberries, kirsch and cassis with nuances of raspberry leaves, fragrant soil, violets and unsmoked cigars plus a waft of cedar chest. Full-bodied, firm and grainy with lively freshness and loads of earthy sparks, it finishes long with fantastic freshness.
