The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Artalade comes from a site on Pritchard Hill and is all barrel fermented Cabernet that spent 22 months in 80% new French oak. It’s loaded with notions of red and blue fruits, toasted spices, chocolate, and violets. These all carry to a full-bodied, fleshy, opulent Cabernet that has loads of upfront charm and character. It’s going to drink beautifully for upwards of two decades. There are only 100 cases.

Very deep purple-black in color, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Artalade reveals expressive notes of warm red and black currants, black forest cake and lavender with nuances of dried herbs, underbrush and pencil lead plus a waft of cloves. Medium to full-bodied, it has a firm, fine grained texture and lovely freshness supporting the red and black fruits, finishing long with a compelling hint of minerality.
