Tasting notes
Brilliant red. Displays aromas of cherry, blackberry and dried rose, with musky herb and cola nuances adding complexity. Sappy, tightly focused red and dark berry flavors flesh out with aeration and pick up a smoky element and a hint of spicecake. The spicy note builds through the finish, which is firmed by fine-grained, mounting tannins. This youthful pinot responds very nicely, and quickly, to decanting.

Savory herbs, sweet tobacco, mint, anise and dried red cherries are some of the notes that float from the glass in the 2011 Pinot Noir Camp Meeting Ridge Vineyard. The aromas and flavors are distinctly savory in this mid-weight, intensely saline Pinot Noir. Grippy tannins support the expressive finish. The 2011 is a bit wild, but it is also bursting with personality, intrigue and crystalline beauty.
