Coming from one-third each of the Duvarita, John Sebastiano, and Cottonwood Canyon vineyards, the 2018 Syrah Henry Daniel (named after Adam Tolmach's son) has a classic, Northern Rhône-like bouquet of ripe blackberries, mulberries, peppery herbs, sandalwood, and hints of game. These all carry over to the palate, where it's medium to full-bodied, has a beautifully concentrated, layered, elegant mouthfeel, sweet tannins, and a great finish. It's another absolutely classic Syrah from this estate that will evolve for 15 years with ease.

The 2018 Syrah Henry Daniel is a blend from Duvarita, John Sebastiano and Cottonwood Canyon that saw longer élevage in barrel. Dense and quite potent, the 2018 offers tons of depth, along with the complexity of a wine that is now nearly five years old. Inky blue/purplish fruit, créme de cassis, lavender, spice, chocolate, sweet spice and menthol fill out the layers in this compelling, textural Syrah from Adam Tolmach and Ojai.
The 2018 Syrah Henry Daniel is a blend taken from John Sebastiano and Bien Nacido. The Henry Daniel is deep and layered, with a distinctly red fruited profile. Cherry plum, blood orange, spice, new leather, cedar and mint build in a plush, super-expressive Syrah that is absolutely beguiling.
