Score 92/100 · Drink 2009-2019, Jay S Miller, Wine Advocate, Oct 2009
The 2007 Pinot Noir Pas de Noir is a selection of the winery’s best barrels. It delivers a superb nose of toast, spice box, black cherry, and black raspberry. This leads to an elegant, structured wine with excellent depth of flavor, savory spice notes, succulent flavors, and a lengthy, pure finish. It will benefit from 2-3 years of additional cellaring and provide pleasure through 2019. Penner-Ash performed optimally in the face of the challenges presented by the 2007 vintage. Their 2007 Riesling is reviewed in the Value section of this report and should not be missed. www.pennerash.com
