Tasting notes
The 2021 Pinot Noir Warrior Princess comes from several different blocks in the Zena Crown Vineyard in the Eola-Amity Hills. Matured in 27% new French oak for 15 months, it takes plenty of air to reveal scents of red cherries, potpourri, tobacco leaves and dried herbs. The light-bodied palate is soft and tangy with ethereal fruit and an herbal finish. 442 cases produced.

The woodland-inspired 2021 Pinot Noir Warrior Princess Block opens with an intense burst of peppery rose and dried strawberries. This is a pure and lifted effort with juicy red berries and sweet inner florals swirling above a core of brisk acidity. It tapers off gently tannic and long, leaving a licorice tinge and hints of clove.
Medium ruby, the 2021 Pinot Noir Warrior Princess is lifted with wild herbs and spiced with clove, raspberry, and orange oil. Medium-bodied, it has fine tannins and fresh acidity throughout, with a bright and ripe nature, including notes of fresh herbs, grenadine, and lifted menthol. Drink 2024-2034.
