Score 91-94/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Jan 2016

Full, bright ruby-red. Liqueur-like kirsch and cassis aromas are complicated by mint, licorice and peppery wild herbs. The pepper and herbs carry through on the slightly wild but youthfully imploded palate, where a deep blackberry flavor is further lifted by a minty quality. Marchand believes this wine is a bit riper than the 2013 version; it certainly has potentially explosive fruit.
