Score 88/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, May 2006

(a blend of cabernet sauvignon, merlot and cabernet franc) Good red-ruby. Currant, black cherry, mint and bitter chocolate on the nose. Sweet, smooth and spicy, with a slight green streak to the flavors of redcurrant, minerals and oak. The strong wood component cuts off the fruit on the rather tannic finish. This is more minerally but comes across as a tad dry compared to the regular cabernet bottling.
