Tasting notes
Slatey and robust in red earthy fruit, the 2022 Pinot Noir Savoy Vineyard is tightly tannic with moderate oak presence. The more muscular elements are balanced well by the pretty perfume of the wine, but there’s no denying, this is about power and tannin, grown on the steepest hills in rocky soils, then aged in 60-65% new French oak. It’s got some time to unfurl. Enjoy best 2028-2034.

The 2022 Pinot Noir Savoy Vineyard Block 19 is entirely Calera clone. It’s funky and truffle-like, with tons of power, muscle and such a sense of place. There’s real character here. Animal musk, resinous herbs and purple florals sizzle with focus and intensity. It's a singular wine that speaks in a slightly rustic accent.
