Tasting notes
This is really impressive with a currant and red cherry character. Yet, it also shows fresh herbs and bark undertones. Full-bodied, chewy and flavorful. A serious tannin structure. Drink in 2022.

An addition to the range, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Drew Vineyard is also one of the most expressive and nuanced wines in the range. Inky blue/purplish fruit, gravel, lavender, graphite, smoke and cured meat overtones give the 2015 much of its beguiling, layered personality. The Drew is a wine of real character.
From a site on Mount Veeder, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Drew Vineyard is one of the inkier, almost blue colored wines in the lineup. Notes of blueberries, blackberries, liquid violets, bay leaf, and spring flowers all emerge from this gorgeously concentrated, layered, youthful 2015 that has ripe tannin and integrated acidity. It has tons of fruit, yet enough tannin to warrant 3-4 years of bottle age. With air, it develops a beautiful sense of minerality and this sensational Mount Veeder Cabernet will keep for 2+ decades. Along with consultant Michel Rolland, winemaker Jean Hoefliger has produced an incredible number of killer wines in 2014 and 2015. If you’re interested in learning about all the various sites throughout the Valley, this is a good place to start.
