2011 Gramercy Cellars/Waters Twenty One 21 Grams Red

(69% from Cold Creek vineyard; aged in 45% new oak; this wine was held back since being bottled in the summer of 2013): Bright ruby-red. Musky dark berries and pipe tobacco on the nose and palate. Plush, sweet and nicely concentrated, showing a very suave texture and noteworthy definition to its deep berry flavors. Finishes with very smooth tannins and excellent length--surprisingly mellow and sweet for this very cool vintage.
