Tasting notes
Brilliant magenta color. A deeply perfumed bouquet evokes fresh cherry, dark berries, rose oil and peppery spices, along with subtle earth and savory herb nuances. Round and seamless in texture, offering lively blackberry and bitter cherry flavors that pick up licorice and bitter chocolate notes on the back half. Shows sharp definition and spicy lift on the impressively persistent finish, which is given shape by dusty, slowly building tannins.

Pale to medium ruby-purple, the 2016 Pinot Noir Gregory Ranch Vineyard has some rubbery reduction on the nose over dark notes of bramble berry, forest floor, tar and meaty hints. Medium to full-bodied, it features black cherries and currants in the mouth with herbal accents, a firm frame of grainy tannins and refreshing acidity, finishing long and earthy. Give this a year or two in bottle or decant it. 1,000 cases produced.
