Bright ruby. Perfumed, floral red and dark berry scents are brightened by a suggestion of zesty minerality. Taut, youthfully firm raspberry and bitter cherry flavors show a distinctly spicy character and very good clarity and energy. Finishes with silky tannins, repeating spicinesss and lively mineral-driven persistence. This energetic, precise pinot has the balance to age but it's pretty tasty now as well.

Dark red cherry, plum, spice and mineral notes take shape in the 2012 Pinot Noir Helluva. Veins of bright acidity and minerality support the fruit nicely in this succulent, nuanced Pinot. In 2012, Donkey & Goat seems to have gotten the best from this vineyard near Booneville.
