Also outstanding, yet lacking a little of the vibrancy and overall excitement of the other two single vineyard Chardonnays, the 2013 Chardonnay Sierra Mar has classic orchard fruits, pineapple, butter citrus, nuts and hints of minerality to go with a full-bodied, ripe, layered and supple profile on the palate. Beautifully balanced and layered, with good acidity and a great finish, it's a rounded, sexy Chardonnay to drink over the coming 3-5 years.

Brilliant yellow. Intense tangerine, pear and melon aromas, with a stony element adding lift and focus. Juicy and broad in the mouth, offering fleshy orchard and pit fruit and lemon curd flavors that become livelier as the wine opens in the glass. Clings with excellent tenacity on the finish, leaving smoky lees and poached pear notes behind.
