Tasting notes
Good bright red. An element of smoky reduction to the musky, soil-inflected aromas of black raspberry, plum, chocolate, mocha and toffee. The palate offers an intriguing juxtaposition of succulent blueberry, violet and sweet earth tones. Finishes with strong dusty tannins and very good length.

The 2013 Vosne Romanee les Suchots 1er Cru has a typical "Suchots" bouquet with vibrant and corpulent red cherries, wild strawberries and cranberry scents. The palate is medium-bodied with succulent ripe tannins, a mixture of red and black fruit with a smooth and harmonious finish that feels very svelte in the mouth. This is a luscious Vosne-Suchots that should give 15-20 years of pleasure.
Deep, bright ruby-red. Musky aromas of black fruits, licorice, meat and sexy oak; there's something almost syrah-like about the nose that goes beyond reduction. Tightly wound at present, showing little easy sweetness to the intense flavors of black fruits, flowers and earth. Finishes with powerful but ripe tannins. Suchots in a distinctly serious Flagey style.
