The 2015 Chablis Butteaux 1er Cru has a pretty bouquet of citrus fruit, pressed yellow flowers and a touch of tangerine. I admire the definition here. The intense palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, leading into an edgy, lightly spiced, quite persistent finish. Very fine. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting.

Fresh yellow color. Bright aromas of white peach, citrus fruits and flowers offer nice lift for 2015. Not at all thick or heavy, with the white peach and lemon oil flavors conveying very good definition. Again, this is not a typically fleshy 2015, which is all to the good, but it's still rather forward for this bottling. Finishes with lively floral lift.

Medium yellow. Pure but subdued aromas of fresh apricot and peach. Soft, ripe and rich; quite dry but a bit honeyed and diffuse. This distinctly round wine strikes me as a touch blowsy.
