Tasting notes
The 2019 Pinot Noir La Encantada Vineyard is a powerful, tight wine that is going to need a few years to come together, but I imagine it will always be pretty imposing. Bracing mineral, stony underpinnings lend quite a bit of energy to a Pinot that marries intensity with a degree of transparency that is beguiling. Dried herbs, leather, tobacco and menthol linger on the potent, savory finish.

I love the 2019 Pinot Noir La Encantada Vineyard. This beauty, which includes a touch of stems, offers a juicy, up-front, complex bouquet of raspberries, candied cherries, decayed flowers, forest floor, and hints of marine-like brine. It’s balanced and has a great mid-palate, medium body, and a terrific finish.
