Tasting notes
Ruby/plum-hued and based on 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Cabernet Franc, and 7% Petit Verdot, the 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate offers blackcurrants, plums, Asian spices, and incense with some leafy tobacco nuances. It's nicely balanced and medium to full-bodied, with a round, layered mouthfeel, ripe tannins, and solid mid-palate density. This impressive estate-grown wine reflects Stags Leap District terroir beautifully and should keep nicely for 10-12 years. Drink 2025-2036.

Full bottle 1,403 g. 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Cabernet Franc, 7% Petit Verdot. Deep purple. A lovely balance of savoury earth, sweet charred oak and ripe black fruit on the nose. The balance carries over to the palate where the 15% alcohol has plenty of fruit and tannin to support and mouth-watering acidity. Very tight at the moment but with good potential for development.
