The 2021 Cabernet Franc Hirondelle Vineyard is actually a blend of just 75% Cabernet Franc, with the balance being 22% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Malbec. Aged 17 months in 40% new French oak, it's pleasantly floral on the nose, with cherries and raspberries grounded by hints of mocha. Just medium-bodied, it's silky, almost airy in feel, being substantially less muscular than the Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, more elegant and longer on the finish.

The 2021 Cabernet Franc Hirondelle Vineyard is a racy wine. Crushed flowers, mocha, spice, mint, lavender, dried flowers, cinnamon and new leather are some of the many notes that grace this wonderfully expressive, mid-weight Franc. All the elements are impeccably balanced. This is beautifully done.
