Tasting notes
At once exotic and high-pitched on the nose, with enticing notes of mirabelle and honeysuckle. Generous, rich and ripe but not at all overly sweet; impressively concentrated flavors of exotic fruits and butterscotch. Plump, concentrated chardonnay with considerable early appeal. A very good vintage for this bottling.

The blockbuster 2002 Chardonnay Sbragia Limited Release is one of the finest Ed Sbragia has yet produced. It boasts a big, oily, viscous, heady style, good underlying acidity, and a full-bodied concoction of pineapple and other buttery tropical fruits along with hints of caramel, hazelnut, and smoke in the background. This is sexy, lusty stuff to drink with full-flavored shellfish. It should age for 3-4 years. Tel. (707) 963-7115; Fax (707) 963-1735
