Score 90/100 · Drink 2013-2016, Robert Parker, Dec 2013
The 2011 Pinot Noir Estate from the Fort Ross-Seaview AVA was picked at 22.7 brix, was aged in 81% neutral French oak, and is made from Dijon clones 777 and 828 as well as the Calera clone. A complex bouquet of kirsch, dark cherries and underbrush jumps from the glass of this medium ruby-colored Pinot. With an attractive spicy, earthy character, the wine comes across like a Cote de Beaune given its Burgundian character. This delicate, finesse-styled Pinot reveals an enticing texture. It should drink well for 2-3 years. Tel. (707) 829-8500
