Score 94/100 · Drink 2015-2026, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Jul 2014

Denner's 2011 Mother of Exiles is quite a bit sweeter and succulent than the 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon. The addition of Petit Verdot and higher toast levels result in a distinctly sweeter, spicier wine that will appeal to readers who appreciate a riper, more overt style. Cloves, lavender, menthol and French oak wrap around the racy finish. Mother of Exiles is 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Petit Verdot and 7% Merlot.
