Score 96/100 · Drink 2015-2038, Anthony Mueller, Wine Advocate, Oct 2022
The 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve is immaculate, with a lush and focused nose that is still compact and primary. Full-bodied, the wine expands on the palate, revealing focus, precision and power with a still-tight frame and firm tannic edge. The Cabernet concludes with long, lingering flavors of black plum essence, oak spices and notions of crème de cassis. Even though it’s a 2008, it has plenty of life left; so be patient, and reward your future self.

Mainly from Champoux and Loess vineyards. Just a bit too sweet for comfort. Sweet and sour rather than complex. (JR)
