Tasting notes
The 2019 Chardonnay sports a surprisingly darker gold hue as well as a rich, nutty, heavier style that's best drunk up, preferably with heartier fare.

Hyde's 2019 Chardonnay is a beauty, marked by slightly smoky scents of grilled pear, ripe citrus and just a hint of peach. All barrel fermented, with 25% new French oak, it goes through full malolactic fermentation and goes into bottle unfined and unfiltered. Roughly 80% Wente and 20% Calera selections, it's medium to full-bodied, gently creamy, lush but structured, with a long finish that echoes with notes of pencil shavings and graphite-like minerality.
Aromas of dried apples, sliced pineapple, dried herbs, spices and toffee. Full and creamy with a broad and lightly phenolic texture and ripe tropical character, with a spicy, bittersweet finish. Drink now.
