Score 90/100 · Drink 2019-2025, Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Aug 2017

(made from the estate's oldest village wines on the plateau of La Chapelle-Vaupelteigne): Pale lemon-yellow. Salty calcaire minerality, apple and lemon drop on the nose. Riper and deeper than the basic village wine, conveying more austerity and salinity to its lemon and crushed stone flavors. A higher-pitched, tighter, saltier wine with more inner-mouth tension and length. An excellent village wine from a superb mineral-driven year: there's no rush to open this!
