The 2018 Napa Valley Red Wine is a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot and 10% Petit Verdot. Deep garnet-purple colored, it rolls out of the glass with vibrant blackcurrants, black berries and warm plums scents, plus hints of damp earth, garrigue and menthol. The intense, medium to full-bodied palate has finely grained, approachable tannins and lovely freshness lifting the vibrant black fruit to a long finish. 467 cases were made.

Coming from a mix of noteworthy sites in the valley and mostly Cabernet (there's some Merlot in the blend, I believe), the 2018 Napa Valley Red Wine sports a dense purple color to go with a full-bodied, opulent, monster of a wine that carries loads of red and black fruits, notes of spiced meats, dried tobacco, and chocolate, ripe tannins, integrated oak, and a wonderfully mouth-filling texture. This is about as opulent and sexy as 2018 gets and it's well worth seeing out. It's going to put a smile on your face any time over the coming 15-20 years.
The 2018 Red Wine is broad and ample in feel, with tons of richness that develops in the glass. Inky dark fruit, spice, leather and licorice all meld together effortlessly. The blend is 60% Cabernet Sauvignon (30% Tench and 30% Erba) and 40% Merlot (Sugarloaf).
