Youthful purple. Aromas of cherry pit, cassis and espresso on the slow-to-open nose. Deeply pitched dark fruit flavors show excellent clarity and pick up exotic floral pastille and spice character with air. Firm tannins adds grip and shape to the very long, chewy finish. Aeration helps this concentrated wine open up somewhat but it really needs at least a few years of bottle age.
