The 2002 Brut Grand Cru Millésimé from Soutiran is a pretty wine that marries considerable weight and structure in its fruit with silky, finessed tannins. The wine shows outstanding harmony and a long, clean finish. Ripe pears, flowers and mint linger on the close. Disgorged April 5th, 2008.

(Lot MI01543) Bright yellow with a vigorous mousse. Pungent lemon, nectarine and yellow plum aromas are complicated by dried flowers and an exotic cherry pit quality. Smoky citrus and pit fruit flavors coat the palate, with bitter herb and pear skin qualities providing support. Gains sweetness on the finish while maintaining vivacity and cut. Impressive for its blend of depth and energy.
