Blanchet’s 2006 Pouilly-Fume Silice is scented with honeydew melon, black currant, mint, and honeysuckle. Quite lush and caressing, it retains plenty of fresh juiciness, and precisely in its generosity and fruitiness illustrates the influence of flint terroir. The under-appreciated Francis Blanchet has once again proven his ability to render consistent quality even under challenging circumstances.
