Mid ruby. Really simple and rather oily on the nose – that strange oak note again (like Ballentine). Lacks refreshment, though not acidity, and the acidity is rather mean. (JR)

The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Yountville Selection (100% Cabernet Sauvignon) reveals sexy, open-knit, meaty, charcuterie and black currant aromas and flavors. Medium to full-bodied with silky tannins, abundant fruit, complexity and finesse, it is hard to resist at present, and should continue to evolve for 10-15 years. Tel. (707) 968-9297
